About:
He was a former member of the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce and Buffalo Kiwanis Club. He was also a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, third and fourth degrees. He was most proud of being an active member of the Buffalo Fire Department for over 35 years. After retirement, he served on the Buffalo Tree Board, on the Johnson County Landfill Board, and delivered Meals On Wheels for the Buffalo Senior Center for 17 years.Coog was devoted to his family and his faith and, in spite of being diagnosed with cancer in 2011, he continued to be there for his family and friends.He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Karen; two sisters, Mary Ann and Thelma Jean, and an infant brother.In addition to his wife Sue, Coog is survived by three children, Elaine Cary of Pickstown, South Dakota; Diana Borgialli (Bob) of Buffalo and Duane Myers (Christie) of Gillette; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Don Kraen, Doug Myers, Willie Myers, and Herman Myers; and three sisters, Johanna Gaskill, Kathy Snyder, and Janie Maya.Expanded graveside services will be held Thursday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Willow Grove Cemetery with Father Peter Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held at St. John\'s Catholic church at 9:00 and 9:30 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Church Foundationor the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum and mailed to Coog Myers Memorial, 222 East Keays, Buffalo, WY 82834.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
