Gore Family Motto-''The only sure course is to serve God''

Zahn was born September 12, 1934, Arapaho Oklahoma. First child and son of Joseph P. Gore and Dovie D. Jones. Zahn's Maternal Grandfather traces his family back to Wales England pre 1700 AD. Zahn's family has been in the U.S. for over 300 years.

Zahn's family moved to Bentonville Arkansas when he was a child. Zahn graduated from Bentonville High School. Soon after Zahn came to Sheridan, Wyoming, where he met and married Jean Maire Marosok on August 27, 1955. Zahn and Jean had 2 sons. Kevan Scot Goreborn June 3, 1958, who died shortly after child birth . In 1960 they had their second son Larry Dean Goreborn in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Zahn came to Sheridan for work and got a job with Shell Oil Company working on a seismic crew that traversed many thousands of acres in the Sheridan area. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served 2 years, some of that time spent in Germany. When he returned to Sheridan, he was rehired by Shell, and he worked for Shell for almost 40 years when he retired. Zahn was an avid hunter all his life. He was an excellent wing shooter and marks man. Although he hunted and bagged a fair number of Deer in his life time, bird hunting was his passion. Zahn loved Wyoming and no matter where he lived while working for Shell, he always said of those places no matter how nice they were ''It isn't Wyoming''.

In 1965 Zahn won the Wyoming State Trap Shooting Championship. Zahn had a special way with animals and was somewhat of a Horse Whisperer. He was an avid gardener, and every year had a garden until the last few years of his life when he was physically unable to do it.

He loved to fly and was a small plane pilot. He learned to fly with the help of the GI Bill.

Zahn was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was a goodman who loved his family and provided much wisdom and provisions for them. He will be missed.

Paraphrasing the Good Book ''there could be many books written about Zahn's life and the things he did''. Suffice it to say he was dedicated to his family with love that was shown to the mall. He has left the ma legacy to be proud of.

Zahn is survived by his wife Jean Marosok Gore, his son Larry and wife Laura, his grandsons Isaac Goreand, Joseph Goreall living in Katy, Texas . Two of his sisters, Lois Richardson of Pea Ridge Arkansas and Lynda Galyean and her husband Ed of Hiawassee Arkansas. And numerous nieces and nephews Zahn's mortal remains will be buried in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery in Sheridan Wyoming where his son Kevan, his beloved father and mother-in-law and many of his extended family members rest in peace.

The family plans to have a private ceremony for family and friends in May at the grave site in Sheridan.

Zahn loved his family and showed this love through his devotion to them and complete support for them through out his life. Zahn showed the sacrificial love of Jesus to his loved ones.

In lieu of flowers the family asks friends and loved ones to show their love to your family and friends and give them a helping hand if needed.

Inurnment will take place with a Celebration Of Life this spring,  in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery
