Walter R. Orum, Sr., 74, Sheridan, died Thursday, November 28, 2019, surrounded by his family.Walter was born July 23, 1945, in Bennington, Oklahoma. He moved his family to Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 1977. They soon relocated to Sheridan. He served his country in the U.S. Army until 1972, was a local business owner of E&W Standard until 2000 when he changed careers and began driving truck until the day he passed. He enjoyed getting lost (long road trips) through the Big Horn Mountains, hunting, horse back riding, and large gatherings with his family.He is survived by his darling wife, Evelyn Marie Orum (Collins), Sheridan; his son, Walter R. Orum Jr.(Brooke), Sheridan; his two daughters, Tamatha C. Thiel (Timothy) and Shana M. Duncan, Michigan; ten Grandsons, Lt. Tony aka Anthony Becker (Kayla), Tyller Becker, Lt. Brian McLaughlin, and Brandon McLaughlin, Gillette, Cameron Orum, Cheyenne, Austin Orum (Justice) and McCoy Orum, Sheridan, Riley Orum, Laramie, Alex English, New York, and Connor English, Michigan; one Granddaughter, Maui Orum, Sheridan; three Great Granddaughters Madilyn Orum-Ladd, Gillette, Danika Becker, Gillette, Desree Orum, Cheyenne; two Great Grandsons Davian Becker, and Kyson Becker, Gillette; two brothers, Billy Orum, and Don Orum (Kathy); two sisters, Velda Duncan, and Jane Hubert (Tom).He is preceded in death by parents, Paula Wayne Orum and Jewel Kathleen Orum; sister, June Gardner; two brothers, Paul Orum and Jack Wayne Orum; Great Grandson, Liam Orum; and Grandson, Breckon McLaughlin.Friends are welcome to participate in an a Memorial Service held at 2 p.m, Saturday, November 30, at Bethesda Worship Center, Paster Scott will officiate. Walter\'s wishes were to be cremated and joined in eternity with his wife, Evelyn.Gifts in memory of Walter Orum Sr., may be made to Evelyn Orum, P.O. A Graveside Service with Military Honors for Walter Orum will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 5:30pm in the Juniper Heights section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Pastor Scott Lee will be officiating.
