Walter “Walt” Jay Hodges, 76, of Ranchester passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan.Walt was born February 16, 1939, in Leyden Lake, CO, to Elmo and Opal Hodges.  In 1959, Walt married Judith “Judy” Ann Dale; together they raised four sons; Scott, Ted, Robbie and David.  In 2005, they moved to Ranchester, WY.Walt was a loving man always full of laughter and humor.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping hunting and fishing, and could be found tinkering away on something in his shed.Walter was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and three brothers: Richard, Bob, and Frank and grandson Teddy Robert.  He is survived by his sons: Scott, Ted (Janee), Robbie (Chloe), and David (Jeanie); siblings: Larry, Fred and Violet; fifteen grandchildren: Jessie-Rose, Brandi-Kay (Anthony), Lisa, Christopher, Luke (Nicole), Chance (Shelby), Kaylene, Corajeanne, Laramie, Cody, Melissa, Matthew, Amber, Jonathon, and Molly; and one great-grandchild, Olivia Kay.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015, at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
