About:

Virginia C. Pearce passed away on August 31, 2020 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital with her Son and Daughter In-Law by her side. She was born on October 23, 1944 in Santa Monica, CA to Axel and Olga Volberg. Her family then moved to Big Timber, MT where she graduated high school in 1963. She met the love of her life, Marvin “Skip” Pederson and married him on December 1, 1963. They ranched on the lower Sweetgrass until his passing. In 1968 she married Daniel Pearce and became the mother to Josh. They bought a ranch in Grass Creek, WY in 1990. Virginia spent her day there mostly on horseback with the cattle or in her kitchen where she made the most delicious meals and baked goods. Her homemade hamburger buns are still being talked about. She continued to run the ranch after her and Dan divorced. The ranch became a sanctuary for many lost kids who wanted to learn about the ranch life. Virginia would take in anyone and care for them as one of her own. After selling the ranch she moved to the outskirts of Thermopolis, WY where she helped operate a Horse & Carriage Service. She ended up adopting Josh in 2000 and that was one of the happiest days of her life. She eventually moved to Sheridan, WY to spend the remainder of her time with Josh and his family. Her favorite things included spending time with her grandsons, being around horses & cattle, and doing her artwork. She was very talented and would send out hand drawn cards to her family and friends on their special days. She is preceded in death by Skip Pederson as well as her mother and father.
