About:

Virginia Ann Stevens 91 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on June 7, 2024.

Virginia was born May 31, 1933 in Penn Yan New York to Charles and Ethel Margeson (Champlain).  She was the middle child of three. Older brother Charles and younger brother Carl.

Virginia was the mother of six children. Three boys and three girls. Paul, Leon, Patrick, Virginia, Dora and Louella.

She was the Grandmother to thirteen children, Great Grandmother to thirty five children and Great Great Grandmother to five children.

Virginia had a life like all of us. She had a lot of laughter at Christmas, birthdays and all other social gatherings.

With a long life also comes great sorrow. Virginia outlived three of her children Paul, Dora and Leon, both of her brothers Charles and Carl, and many other friends and family.  Virginia had a great way of dealing with lives ups and downs.  She would simply say “that’s life”.

Virginia was active until the day she died.  Whether it be working on puzzles, knitting gifts or just reading her Bible. She traveled extensively around the country. For her 91st birthday she was able to fulfill a bucket wish by seeing five National Parks and six states, in an eight day three thousand mile road trip with her daughter Louella.

Family was everything to Virginia and she was everything to the family. She left this world knowing how much she was loved and we know how much she loved us.

Virginia was a loving friend to many. Richard, Rosemary and Ernie were the closest of her friends so much that they too are considered part of our family. Thank you for all of your love.

Virginia is now in the hands of the Lord.  God bless her.

Interment and a Graveside services will be Wednesday June 12, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery Juniper Heights Section. Inurnment will take place with Virginia of her son Paul and his wife Sarah.
