Spencer Stoker, 93, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020, at the Sheridan Manor.Spencer (Sandy) Harold Stoker was born on September 1, 1927 in Taylor, Wisconsin to Algie and Inez (Lieu) Stoker. He passed away on October 2nd at Sheridan Manor.He grew up on the farm and enjoyed farming and being with relatives. He enlisted and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.He moved to Sheridan in 1957 and worked as an aide and cook for the VA hospital. He married his wife, Beverly Jasper in that year and they enjoyed spending time together in their home in Sheridan and at their cabin in the Big Horn mountains.Sandy loved to hunt, fish, and spend time in the mountains as well as working on various hobbies including wooden trucks and lawn ornaments, figurines, toll painting saw blades, stained glass, and leather crafting projects. He always had time to share his crafts, time and work with those in the community.Sandy was a member of the First United Methodist Church and loved his time serving on the Board of Trustees for the church and at Circle J Retreat Camp as well as participating in the various Men\'s Group activities. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brothers, Frederick and Henry. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, brothers, Norman (Renea) , Richard (Gladys), Raymond ( Evelyn), and one sister, Shelby (Clark ) and two sons from a previous marriage, Joseph and Kim.A private service and interment will be scheduled for a later date. All memorials can be made in his honor to the First United Methodist Church in Sheridan, Wyoming.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
