Sandra (Sam) Rene’ Buchan Schuma, 71, of Sheridan, Wyoming, passed away in her home on March 05, 2024, surrounded by her family. Sam was born on January 01,1953, in Pensacola, Florida to Kenneth R. and Mable D. (Moore) Buchan. Sam was raised in Sheridan, Wyoming, and graduated in 1971 at Sheridan High School. She worked as a legal secretary for 22 years in Wisconsin and Montana and moved back to Wyoming where she was the bar manager at the Big Horn Mountain Eagles for 16 years. She later was a caregiver for her parents. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cross stitching and camping. Sam was also a member of the Big Horn Mountain Eagles Auxiliary 4169.

Sam was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, her brother Jim Buchan and a nephew. She is survived  by her daughter Jessica (Doug) Slack of Sheridan, Wyoming, her grandson Brady Stephens (Marandah) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, brothers Tom (Smothers) Buchan of Sheridan, Wyoming,  Mike (Yvonne) Buchan of North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials to honor Sam can be made at the Second Chance Cat Rescue.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
