Robert "Bob" Mills passed away peacefully at Sheridan Memorial Hospital with his beloved daughter by his side on March 5, 2026, just a day shy of his 84th birthday.

He was born March 6, 1942, in Pittsburgh, PA, - the beloved son of the late James and Dorothy Mills.

From a young age, Bob demonstrated an unwavering commitment to service and education. After serving his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps from 1961 to 1967, he pursued his passion for teaching. Bob obtained his master's degree in education from the University of Wyoming; a testament to his dedication to learning and bettering the lives of others. He went on to inspire countless young minds as a fifth-grade teacher at Livingston Elementary School in Cody, Wyoming where he devoted 27 years of his life. His warm presence and encouraging spirit left an indelible mark on the students and colleagues who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bob found solace and joy in the great outdoors. An avid fisherman, hiker, and hunter. Bob had a passion for flying and he fulfilled a lifelong dream by purchasing his own plane where He explored the breathtaking aerial views around Cody. He will be missed.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Crowley and her husband James, his sister, Marion Hancock and granddaughter, Jayme Porter Ricketts.

A memorial service to honor Bob's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bob's name to a charity of choice.

In Honor of Robert Mill's Life and Service, Military Honors will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM, Under the event tent at Champion Kane Funeral Home.

Champion Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
