Robert Bruce Pryde passed away on July 12,2024. He was born on May 23,1938 in Bearcreek Montana, the first son of William Pryde and Vera Jacklovich Pryde. He spent his early years in Bearcreek until sadly his father was killed in the Smith Mine disaster.

His mother later married Chet Black and he and his brother Bill moved with them to Cody, Wyoming. Bruce graduated from Cody High School and then attended Colorado University in Boulder pursuing a degree in education. He then went to work in Nucla, Colorado where he met and married his wife Ann Jackson Pryde. They were married on December 23,1960 and relocated to Denver to pursue his career. It was in Denver that they welcomed the birth of their daughter Heather and son Scott.

The family then moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where Dad accepted a position with the Sheridan School District. Shortly after the welcomed their daughter Jamey. Dad

worked for the school district in Sheridan for 40 years. First as the principal of Linden school, then in administration and finally as Principal of Coffeen school.

Upon his retirement Dad took up golf which was a huge passion of his. He was thrilled to be able to attend the Masters tournament with his golf buddies. Bruce was also very involved in the Sheridan pathway project and was very proud of this project. He also enjoyed his morning coffee group at Java Moon and the conversations they had.

Bruce also enjoyed his grandchildren. From the funny stories his grandson Johnnie would tell him about his travels playing music and work. He also was kind of tickled that his granddaughter Annie was also pursuing education as a career.

Bruce is preceded in death by his wife Ann, his brother Bill Pryde, his mother Vera Black, his father William Pryde and stepfather Chet Black. He is survived by his daughter Heather and husband John Lindell, son Scott Pryde and his person Harriet, daughter Jamey Pryde, sister Barbara Berg and her children Jon, Karen and Paula and his treasured grandchildren Johnnie and Annie Lindell.
