Richard (Dick) Pallach passed away peacefully, at home, with his love, Jan by his side on August 4th, 2019 at the age of 88.He is survived by his wife Jan Pallach, children Gina Young, Rich (Julie) Pallach, Joe Pallach, Mary (Jay) Graham, Casey Madsen, Carrie (Troy) Bice, Kip (Kathy) Madsen, Tom (Kathy) Pallach and numerous beloved grand-children and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sister, son Chris Pallach and two grandchildren.Dick was born June 4th, 1931 in Detroit, MI to Luella and Jack Pallach. He graduated from Saint Ambrose High in 1951. He proudly served in the Air Force 1950 to 1954 that included a tour in the Korean War. He approached life after his tour as he always did with tenacity, smarts and a great sense of humor. After a short stint at his father’s service station he walked up the street to General Motors hoping to find a job which he was incredibly successful in doing…he became an instructor at GM in the Allison Transmission Division opening training centers throughout the United States. Years later he became partner at Holeman GM Diesel. He broke out into an entirely different field with Tricon Metals and Services and won countless awards and achieved the honor of Salesman of the Year Award at the age of 74.Dick was an all-around athlete, playing in sports from hockey to football to baseball. His one wish was to become a professional baseball player. He was an accomplished skier and was known to “ski like a bird” and shared his love for skiing with everyone – to this day you can easily pick out a family member he taught to ski through their grace on the slopes. For forty years he enjoyed golfing with the “Fearsome Foursome”. He never met a putt he couldn’t beat. If he had his Three Wood in hand, his opponent better be worried.Dick lived his life his way. Always quick to laugh and give you a flash of that big, beautiful smile. He filled it with everything he loved - Jan, family, friends, his career and so much more. If you were lucky enough to know him, you immediately knew he cared. There wasn’t a person he met that he didn’t become friends with. His legacy is all the sweet wonderful people he’s loved and left behind. He will be forever loved and missed.A Memorial with Military Honors will be held at Kane Funeral Home 689 Meridian Sheridan, WY. Saturday, August 10th at 1:30PM.
