Mary Alyce Churchwell-Haire of Sheridan passed away peacefully Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital with family by her side. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 10,2023 at Kane Funeral Home. Pastor Matt Tremain will be officiating.

Mary was born in Big Spring, Texas on October 30, 1957. Preceding her in death are her parents, Virgil Charles Churchwell and Alice Mae Altman-Churchwell, as well as her sister Wanda Mae Churchwell-Rudinger.

She is survived by her husband, Johnnie Edward Haire Jr. (they married February 18, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada) and her 2 children: daughter, Barbara Ann Brackeen-Kepley and husband Justin Kepley of Parkman, WY, and son Richard Earl Brackeen II of Olympia, WA. She also had 4 grandchildren: Richard Earl Brackeen III, Liam Espinosa, Morgan Elizabeth Kepley, and Ember Maeve Brackeen.

Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her friends called her a fun-loving firecracker. She loved her family above all. Her hobbies were hanging with family, fishing, traveling, drawing, crafting, and putting puzzles together with her friends. Everyone loved Mary and she really enjoyed her friends while at Sheridan Square.

Mary drove 18-wheelers all over the country for over 18 years. She got to see 48 states and Canada. She never had an accident and even won Driver of the Year and Safety awards many times during her career. She had many other jobs over the years and she worked hard at all of them.
