Linda P Johnson, 79, born on February 9th, 1947, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and beloved matriarch of the Johnson crew.

Linda was born to Virgil (Lee) McLaughlin and Ruth Lehman in Lewistown, Montana. She was the youngest of 3 siblings, Brother Terry McLaughlin and sisters Marge Sherman, and Laurie Lindeland all who have preceded Linda indeath.

Linda’s unwavering love for her family and faith inher Lord Jesus Christ guided her life.


Linda married Dale Johnson on December 4th, 1965. As a best friend and wife to Dale Johnson, mother of three boys and mother-in-law to three daughters, she poured out her heart, knowledge, and life to all members of the family. Linda led by example. She was giving, long in patience, loving, understanding, and compassionate. Linda had a heart for remembering every birthday, and important dates in her children's and grandchildren's lives. She always remembered to send a card or make a call.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dale Johnson, and their children Tony (Karen) Johnson Grandchildren Dean Johnson, DrewJohnson Dave (Sheila) Johnson Grandchildren Kelsey Reece, Hunter(Celena) Reece Great Grandchildren Raya Reece and Beckett Reece Dan(Tracy) Johnson and Grandchildren Kristina Johnson, April Johnson, Jack Johnson.

A Celebration of Linda Johnson’s life and faith will be held on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 at 11a.m. The location of the celebration will be Champion Kane Funeral Home in Sheridan, Wyoming with reception to immediately follow.


Internment will follow the reception in the Juniper Heights Section of the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
