About:

Leo F. Grasky, 81, of Sheridan, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 4, 2017. His wife, children and grandchildren were at his side during this final journey. Leo was tired after a long battle with Parkinsons. He was lovingly cared for by Tracy Newbold of Newbold Homecare for the last 2 years. He was very grateful for Tracy.Leo was born August 9th, 1935, to Leo B Grasky and Evelyn (Chillman) in Superior, Wisconsin. The family eventually settled in Miles City, MT, where he went to school and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He excelled at basketball and football. He attended Carroll College. He met Patti Friend at Sacred Heart, she was a cheerleader, and the two were married in 1961. From that union came five daughters. Patti fought breast cancer, but succumbed to this disease and died in 1986 leaving Leo to raise five daughters on his own. However, Leo was re-introduced to Terry Schieffert, also a Sacred Heart Highschool classmate and the two were married in July 1990 and have resided in Sheridan for 27 years. They owned P.O. News for several years. Leo and Terry loved to travel spending winters in California, Arizona and Mexico. In the summer they spent time camping in the Big Horns.Leo worked for Goodyear Tire Company. He ran many successful stores in several states. He was recognized and awarded several trips. He took Patti to Europe and the Bahamas. Leo moved his family to Sheridan in 1980, where he managed Firestone Tire Store and retired in 1999.Leo was a hard working man, dedicated to his family. He worked 3 jobs at one time so Patti could stay home with the girls. He was always friendly, quick witted, awnry and never afraid to speak his mind which is what people loved about him. His humor was such that he often said for raising 5 daughters he had better go to the “Big Tire Store in the Sky....”Leo is survived by his wife Terry, his daughters, Debbie (Rick) Oatts, Kim Grasky (Garrett Flowers), Stephanie Grasky, Jennifer (Dave) Lawson, Sarah (Scott) Smothers, grandchildren, Tyler Oatts, Hattie (Ben) Carlson, Brock and Zachary Grasky, Preston and Hunter Doyle, Kendall and Kelsey Smothers, great grandchildren, Bridger Oatts and Everly Carlson, stepchildren, L.J.
