Laurie Kaupang, 76, of Sheridan, WY, went to dance in heaven on January 6, 2024, at her home with her family by her side. Laurie was born in Long Beach, California to William and Margaret (Peggy) Johnson on February 4, 1947, joining her brother William (Bill) Johnson.

In her free time Laurie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, baking, crafts, and planting flowers. She cherished the moments she shared with her family. Laurie also found solace and joy in her faith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sheridan, Wyoming, where she found comfort and community.

Laurie was preceded in loving memories of her niece Carrie, grandson Nicolas, mother Peggy, daughter Kim, sister Julie and brother-in-law Loras.

Laurie is survived by her brother Bill (Linda) Johnson Long Beach, CA, and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren Roy Kaupang Anaheim, CA, Jeremy (Sarah) Becker, Jared, Annabelle and Isabelle, Brianna Becker, Lena and Zane, Tonya Kaupang, Brandon (Xochitl) Kaupang, Mia, Damien, Micah, Max, Axle, Danielle Kaupang, Peggy Kaupang Sheridan, WY, Sydney (Dallas) Powell, Toren, Sandy (Mike) Smith Sheridan, WY, Joshua Bradberry, Oliver, Brandi (Derrick) Said, Aria, baby boy Said (due March 2024), Renee Buchli Sheridan, WY, Keith Tetschner, Brayden Tracy, and Sierra Tracy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Cowan officiating with a cookie reception to follow.
