Joan Helen Nacman peacefully passed away on November 9th, 2023, in Sheridan, Wyoming. She was born on November 3, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY,to Frederick and Helen (Mason) Blomquist.

Joan dedicated 34 years of her life to the field of education, working asan elementary school teacher and reading specialist. She was passionate about nurturing young minds and helping them develop a love for learning.

She will be lovingly remembered by her surviving family members; brothers Neal Blomquist with Irma of Battle Ground, WA; and Charles Blomquist with Caroline of Duluth, MN, sisters Kathleen Hendrickson with Ray ofWoodland, WA; Nancy Johnston of Duluth, MN; and Grace Davis ofDuluth, MN. Joan had a special bond with her numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved and worried about like a mother.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband Alvyn Nacman, parents,stepmother Evelyn (Mason), brothers Robert and John, and sistersMarian Wicht and Anne Davis.

Joan was a lifelong member of the old Apostolic Lutheran Church.

There will be a visitation on Sunday November 12 from 2pm - 4pm at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church on 111 Metz Road, Sheridan, WY.

Visitation will be at 10am and funeral service at 11am on Friday November 17that the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church at 2038 Pleasant Valley Road,Newark, DE followed by burial at Bay View Cemetery.
