About:

Jerry Allyn Weigum

Sidney, MT – 5/7/1935 – Sheridan, WY – 1/27/2025

Jerry Allyn Weigum, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming. He was born on May 7, 1935, in Sidney, MT, to Bertha and Jake Weigum.

Jerry married the love of his life, Carolyn Ruth Wile, on September 14, 1958. Together, they built a loving family, raising five children: Marcia (Bruce) Blair, Greg (Tina) Weigum, Carmaine (Chris) Cotham, Stacie (Tom) Marlin, and Jerry Ryan (Ambur) Weigum.

Jerry cherished his role as a grandfather to Geoff, Rhiannon, Spencer, Tucker, Chance, Kyler, Christopher, Ashlynn, Andie, and Larissa, and delighted in his great-grandchildren, Keenan, Ephrum, Malachi, and Jonas.

Jerry was one of Jehovah Witnesses and a devoted family man. He instilled in all his children his deep faith in the scriptures and his unwavering hope for the future as stated in Psalm 37:29 and Revelation 21:3,4. He was a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating his own landscaping business (Valley Landscaping & Sprinklers) before passing the business on to his son Jerry Ryan, who continues operating that business today. He was known for the quality and craftsmanship of his work and for taking good care of his customers. In addition to this, he drove school bus for Big Horn School. He found immense joy interacting with the children, watching them grow up throughout the years.

Jerry was known for his kind heart, his infectious laugh, and his great sense of humor.

Jerry possessed a natural talent for fixing things. He spent countless hours in his workshop, tinkering with vehicles, tackling mechanical challenges, and finding creative solutions to any problem. In his free time, he enjoyed playing music on his Gibson Les Paul guitar and cherished the camaraderie of jam sessions with his dear friends from the congregation.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his children; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and friends, including his nephew Gary Brazer and his niece Vicki Davis. He was preceded in death by his sisters Fern Severance and Fae Brazer, and brother Dan Weigum.

A memorial service will be held on February 8, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Champion Kane Funeral Home.
