Jeannie M. Mills
About:
Jeannie Marie Mills March 17, 1954 – August 19, 2020 Jeannie Mills walked (or probably ran) into Heaven this Wednesday, August 19, at 5:13 a.m. She loved the Good Lord and loved to share with anyone what God had done to help her through many medical challenges. One could not count how many friends she invited and brought to Mercy and Grace Ministries. Jeannie was born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1954 to Opal and Leo Mills in Deadwood, South Dakota. Growing up with her brothers Lynden, L.Gary, Richard, Melvin, and step-brother, Gary “Smokey” made her a pretty strong and sassy gal. Jeannie loved helping, serving, and caring for people with meals or her specialty of upside-down pineapple cake or world-famous banana bread. This gal would light up a room by just walking into it and making people laugh. When attending her myriad of medical appointments, the nurse would say, ”Jeannie, how are you feeling?” She would reply, “I feel with my fingers. How do you feel?” The medical person wouldn’t be caught twice with that question. Celebrating holidays or church functions always sent her to the Dollar Store. Hiking the Big Horns or riding with her Honda Goldwing Club would put a huge smile at on her face. Her great joy in life was caring for her “boys”, ’2 twenty-six-pound cats, Roady and Prince! When she lived with her Mom, Opal, they would often buy matching shirts. We imagine that Opal will be standing at Heaven’s Gate with a matching Heaven shirt for Jeannie. God has blessed us all with her life! Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 25TH AT 10:00 in the Evergreen section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery With Pastor Chuck Gifford officiating. A reception and gathering of family and friends for fellowship and sharing will follow at the Kane Funeral Home Reception Hall. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
