Jack W. Amende passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Park Place RV in Quartzsite, AZ.Jack was born on February 17, 1942, in Sheridan, WY to William and Louise (Hanson) Amende. He married Myrtle (Hurt) Amende on September 28, 1968, in Sheridan, WY.Jack worked for the Sanitation Department for the City of Sheridan as a garbage collector for 33 years. He and his wife, Myrtle, spent the last 11 winters in Arizona with many good friends. He liked to fish, explore, and spend time with family and friends.Jack was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Shirley Christianson, a brother, Dan Amende, a grandson, Sean Mikesell and a granddaughter, Linda Sue Salazar. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Amende of Sheridan, WY, brothers, Jerry (Betty) Amende of Sheridan, WY, Dale (Karen) Amende of Broadus, MT, sister, Sherry (Troy) Adkins of Lubbock, TX and four children, Jimmy French of Sheridan, WY, Sherry Mikesell of Sheridan, WY, Brenda (Mike) Hericks of Commerce City, CO, Linda Salazar of Phoenix, AZ and 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.Family requests memorial donations to be sent to a cancer foundation of their choice.A Memorial Service will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017, at the Big Horn Mountain Eagles at 1760 Commercial Avenue, Sheridan, WY.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
