View Service Folder | Click for Video Tribute Ida Jewell Ellis, 93, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at the Sheridan Manor.Ida was born on June 17, 1920 to Arthur Perry and Naoma Rebecca (Mobely) Ellis in Upton, WY. She married Merle Ellis in Custer, SD in 1937.Ida enjoyed old music, reading the Real Estate transactions, the police report, and the hospital report in the newspaper, embroidering and making quilts. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She worked several years as a waitress at Louie\'s Hamburger Shop.Ida was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Charles. She is survived by her son Art (Cathy) Ellis of Cheyenne, WY, Shirley (John) Roberts of Sheridan,WY, daughter in law Nikki Ellis of Buffalo, WY, grandchildren, Jeff (Jalainna) Ellis, Jennifer (Sam) Calvetti, Lisa Baxter Gilbertson, David (Mandy) Baxter, Mark (Shelly) Ellis, Kristin Ellis, Matt (Jennifer) Ellis, and seven great grandchildren.Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating. Interment will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, with a reception to follow in the Kane Reception Hall.Memorials to honor Ida can be made to the Sheridan Senior Center, 211 Smith Street, Sheridan, WY 82801.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
