Hazel (Ross) Stewart (1930-2019)It is with great sadness to announce that on May 21, 2019 Hazel Stewart passed away in Sheridan WY at the Westview Health Care Center surrounded by her daughter and grandchildren. Hazel was born inEdinburg, Mississippi on April 10 th , 1930. She moved to Montana in 1952 and was wed to Archie Stewart on March 22, 1956.Hazel worked at restaurants in Butte, Divide and Melrose then received her Beauticians license from the Butte Academy of Beauty in the early 1970’s. She went on to own and operate Hazel’s Beauty Shop inDivide, MT for 29 years. Shortly after Archie’s death in 2000 Hazel sold her place in Divide and moved to Ten Sleep, WY with her daughter Terry L. McGarvin. She enjoyed visiting her siblings in MS during thewinters while her health was good. Terry and Hazel moved to Sheridan, WY in 2015.Hazel is preceded in death by her parents Esther and Otis Ross, husband Archie Stewart, son George Day, two sisters and two brothers.She is survived by her daughters, Terry L. McGarvin of Sheridan, WY, Sherry White Talley (Steve) of Frenchtown, MT and son James Stewart (Linda) of Lake Chelan, WA. Two (2) sisters, Ann Dubois ofMagnolia, TX and Mary Ruth Hamilton of Kosciusko, MS. One (1) brother Hayes Ross (Carol) of Nashville, TN. Eighteen (18) grandchildren, seventeen greatgrandchildren and one (1) great greatgrandchild.Also numerous Nieces and Nephews in Mississippi and Texas.There is no service planned at his time. Hazel will be laid to rest next to Archie at the Quartz Hill Cemetery in Dewey, MT later this summer when friends and family can attend.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
