Gregg Eugene Simmons

August 1, 1953 – December 7, 2023

Gregg Simmons, 70, of Sheridan, WY, passed away peacefully with loved ones at his side on December 7, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT.

Born in Vallejo, CA to the late Gene Simmons and Mary Jo (Martin) Simmons, he was raised in Marion, IL. Gregg enjoyed many different careers throughout his life, including coal mining, explosives & specialty chemicals. He also owned and ran several companies.

Gregg had a “larger than life” personality, and never met a stranger. He was always the one making others feel welcome and lending a helping hand when needed. He also enjoyed many hobbies over the years, such as piloting his own airplanes, mountain climbing, hunting & fishing. Gregg was also a gourmet cook and enjoyed creating new dishes with his wife, Daleen.

In addition to his wife, Daleen, of 30 years, Gregg is survived by his 2 children, Kelly Simmons & Eric Simmons, as well as his brother, Doug Simmons and twin nephews, Nick & Shawn. He also had many friends that he considered family.

A Celebration Of Life will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the General Aviation Hangars at Sheridan County Airport.
