View Service FolderGarey KetchGarey (Dad) passed away in the early morning hours of July 6th. Dad is back with his beloved “Bobbie” as he called our mom, Barbara, and whom he has missed for many years. Garey was born in Monarch, Wyoming and graduated from Sheridan High School. Garey married Barbara Butkay happily married 38 years until her passing in 1995.Garey had four favorite sons (they all claim to be the favorite), Garey Jr. (Marcia) of Fort Worth Texas, Stephen (Tammy) of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Larry of Windsor, Colorado. The actual favorite child is their daughter Judy (Bill) of Helena, Montana who is writing this account. Dad is preceded in death by the passing of his son David in 2011, and his daughter-in-law, Lorie Ketcham in 2017. Dad is survived by his twelve amazing grandchildren Brian, Kevin, Kayla, Jordan, Ethan, Danielle, Jessica, Izzie, Zhenya, Maryana, Ellyana, and Erick, and eight great grandchildren.Garey spent 21 years as the Manager at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds. He was deputized as a deputy sheriff and was really proud of this accomplishment. He served as a City Council member and Sheridan County Commissioner for many years. He enjoyed working with the FFA, 4-H, and the scouting program. He was a member of the Elks club and the Knights of Columbus. Garey remained a long-standing member of Holy Name Church.A Celebration Of Life, will be held Friday, July 10, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Kane Funeral Home.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
