About:
Julia Francis Miech, " Francis" was born on Feb 12,1929 to Joseph and Mary Arzy in their homestead house on Beatty Gulch north of Sheridan. She was one of 10 children. She attended grade school atWagner School on Tongue River. Later, she attended Sheridan High School. At 18, she married Ed Miech Sr. During their marriage, they farmed and ranched in Ulm. They had 4 children: Kathi Voiles, Judi Jacobson, Ed Miech, Jr. and Johnny Miech. Francis loved her music and pie baking. During her many years on the ranch, she mentored many children who spent time at the ranch making it their home. In herlong life, in addition to working in the fields haying and farming,she drove a school bus and worked in the kitchen in Clearmont school.She then worked as a nurse's assistant at Eventide, Memorial Hospital, and the VA where she became an LPN. She loved to fish in the mountains and guide hunters with her husband. She could dress an elk as well as any man. Every 1st of October, any one fromtown could count on breakfast at the ranch when they came outhunting. Later on in life, she worked at McDonalds and went to Polka dance severy chance she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Arzy, herbrothers Teddy, Joe, John, Ray, and Bill, her sisters Nellie Wolfe,Albina Wolf, Florence Young, her daughter Kathi Voiles and two grandsons
Jonathon and Jace.
She is survived by her brother George Arzy (Jean), her children Judi (Jerry) Jacobson, Ed Miech Jr and Johnny Miech (Tracy), Grandsons BryanMadia, Chris Schreder, Nick Schreder, Jordan and Jarret Miech,Granddaughters Jessica Halverson (Kyle) and Anna Miech, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church on July 5, 2023. Viewing at9:30 am, Rosary at 10:00 am, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Father Glenn Whewell officiating. A reception will follow at the Parish Hall. Internment will be at 2:30 pm in the Sheridan Memorial Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held Wednesday July 5, 2023 at 9:30 - 10:00 am at Holy Name Catholic with Rosary at 10:00 am and 11:00 am Mass Of Christian Burial with Father Glenn Whewell officiating. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall, Internment will be at 2:30 pm in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
