Eli \"Tiny\" Toma, 84, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 surrounded by family. He was born in Townsend, MT on Dec. 6, 1933 to Eli and Marion Toma. He was raised on a ranch in Radersburg, MT.Eli attended school in Radersburg, MT and high school in Townsend, MT. In his youth he worked as a ranch hand. In 1957, he married Ann Martin in Butte, MT. Eli worked for Montana Power Co on the gas crew in Bozeman, MT. Started on the Milwaukee Railroad as a gandy dancer then hired as a brakeman. Eli and Ann Toma made their home in Three Forks, MT. They enjoyed bottle digging and ghost towns. Eli moved his family to Sheridan, WY in 1980 to continue his railroad career with the Burlington Northern until he retired.Eli enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed visiting with family.Eli was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ann Toma, brother Jim Toma and sister Ellen Hardin. Survived by his son Ron Toma, Seattle, WA; daughter Leann Connolly, Sheridan, WY; three grandchildren Carissa Connolly, Nick Connolly and Matt Connolly all of Sheridan, WY; sisters Mildred Shoenecke, Bozeman, MT; Dorthy LeTempt, Three Forks, MT; brother Neil Toma, Three Forks, MT. Many neices and nephews. A burial is planned this spring at Fairview Cemetery in Three Forks, Mt.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
