View Service FolderDora M. Cassity went to be with Jesus in her new heavenly home on September 2, 2020.Dora Mae Palmer was born in Rock Port, MO on November 25, 1928 to Evanell and Roland Palmer. After graduating from school Mom met and married Frank Cassity. They married on December 30, 1946. They lived in California before moving to Payette, ID where they farmed and raised four children. In 1967 they moved to Billings, MT where Dad attended Montana Institute of the Bible. During that time, Mom and Dad served in many small churches in the area. After Dad graduated from Bible school, they pastored a church in Lovell, WY and Bison, SD. Mom was a pastor\'s wife and teacher for many years. After Mom and Dad retired, they moved to Billings, MT. Mom\'s hobbies included making quilts for Visions Beyond Borders, gardening and tending her rose garden, and playing canasta with her family when they gathered at holidays. She also loved to bake lemon pies and share them with neighbors.Dora is survived by 3 children, Doris Orr (Art) Sheridan, WY, Steve Cassity (Mel) Billings, MT, and John Cassity (Rosa) Yukon, OK; granddaughters Sherrie Orr Reish, Naomi Giardino, Danielle Eide; grandsons Seth Orr, John Tyrell Cassity, Jason Holm and 14 great grandchildren, two dogs and a cat!Dora was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, Bill, Robert, Francis, Dean, Leroy and Dorothy, daughter Karen Sue Cassity Holm, and granddaughters Paris Holm, Marla and Margo Orr.Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Sheridan Wesleyan Church. Dora will be buried next to her husband at Mountain View Cemetery in Billings.Our family wants to say “thank you” to the staff at Westview who cared for and loved Mom.Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.--
