Carrel Bryant

Carrel Richard Bryant was born June 13th, 1928 in East Orange, New Jersey to Lillian and Carrel C. Bryant. He passed away peacefully at his home in Sheridan, Wyoming on December 10th, 2023. Carrel's life was rich with service and adventure. He proudly served as a paratrooper and pilot in the US Army during World War II and the Korean War. His academic pursuits at Texas A&M in engineering propelled him in to a career that took him across the globe, from the oil fields of Texas, Wyoming and Alaska to the bustling cities of Houston,Singapore and London, culminating in a rewarding retirement from Baker Packer Oil Company.
In his early years, he married DeLois Loomis. He shared a deep love anda cherished daughter with DeLois. She passed away unexpectedly,leaving Carrel to lovingly raise Jane, who became the center of his world.
The late 1970s brought Florence Wilson into Carrel's life, sparking a friendship that spanned years and miles, from Alaska's wilderness to Wyoming's plains. Though work and life's twists led them to lose touch, they were reunited during Jane's unexpected illness andpassing. Florence became a pillar of strength for Carrel, and their bond deepened into love. They married on April 1st, 1996 in Anchorage, AK weaving their lives together in a beautiful tapestry of shared experiences and travels.
In 2006, they relocated to Sheridan, Wyoming. Carrel's final years were filled with the joys of companionship with Florence, who passed away in 2022. He was a cherished figure to Florence's children, who revered him as a wise and loving presence in their lives.
Preceded in death by his wives DeLois and Florence, his daughter Jane, his brothers Tom and David, and sister Alice, Carrel leaves behind a ric hlegacy. His granddaughter Hannah Jane; his brother James (Suzy);Son-in-Law Bob Tobitt (Dee), his stepchildren Corrine, Renee (Jack),Cheri (Jeff), and Richard (Jana); and numerous nieces, nephews,grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever treasure his memory.
Carrel,aka Dad, aka Grandpa will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Casper on Friday, January 12th 2024 with his beloved daughter, Jane and they will be reunited with his wife/her mother, DeLois. A private family graveside service with full military honors is planned.
