Carolyn Anita Bakotich, 81, of Dayton, WY passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Carolyn “Carol” Anita Bakotich was born December 15, 1940 in Oakland, CA to parents Ellen and Richard Maitland. She was the youngest of 3 children. Her brother, Harold Maitland and her sister, Leona Cassidy.

She was married to the love of her life, Nick M. Bakotich, for 32 years. Their life together sadly ended in 2006 with his death. Her children were able to coax her to finally move to Dayton, WY in 2017 to live closer to her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The last 5 years of her life were spent getting to know them and them her. She had a huge passion for reading suspense novels, traveling, crocheting and watching cooking shows on TV.

She is preceded in death by her husband, brother, parents and her great grandson, Jordon Kas Miller.

She is survived by her sister, Leona of Redwood City, CA, her children, Debbie(Matt) Miller of Dayton, WY, David(Sue) Roush of Port Orchard, WA, Nicole(Robert) Blevin of Sacramento, CA, and Steve(Patty) Bakotich of Los Angeles, CA and her plentiful grandchildren and great grandchildren all over the country.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 18, 2022 in Dayton, WY for her family only.

Memorials for Carolyn may be made to the Dog & Cat Shelter of Sheridan, WY in lieu of flowers.
