Ann Mazur September 28, 1943 – March 8, 2016Ann died peacefully in her sleep after suffering through a painful bout of Cancer. Ann was born in Cherry Valley Arkansas, the second youngest of 23children (15 survived past 5 years old). Ann was the fireball of the family never accepting her lot in life as a sharecropper’s daughter.She married early as was the custom in those days and moved away from the farm. She had her first child, Sandra, at twenty, her second daughter Cynthiaat 28. She married Jim Mazur in 1991, where he worked at L3 Corporation in Salt Lake City. Her chosen path and her talent was to give great parties for the benefit of the employees to foster a sense of teamwork and belonging.She continued this when she moved to San Diego where Jim finished his career. Finally the “party girl” retired to Sheridan in 2006 with the love ofher life where she continued her winning ways. A Christmas and Summer Party in Sheridan were the highlights of her year when she wasn’t travelingto Mongolia, China, Australia, England, Spain, Namibia and South Africa, accompanying Jim on hunting and general vacation trips.Ann was an independent woman who always worked hard at whatever she was doing. She loved people and soon integrated into the Sheridancommunity. People liked Ann because she was full of life and always honest with people. She always said that the friends she found in Sheridan were thebest, most down to earth, and dearest of any place she ever lived.Ann’s favorite pastimes were shopping for purses and gambling. But spending time with her grandchildren trumped them all. She was very proudof all of them.Ann is survived by her husband, Jim, 5 children (Sandra, Cynthia (Greg), Jennifer, Becky, and John (Megan), 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.Good bye Party Girl, you will be missed...
