Alice Kassner was born on July 8, 1937, in a small town in eastern Montana. She was the second oldest child of Clifford and Laverna Kassner and grew up in a large, loving family with her brothers Percy, Chuck, Everett, Dick, and Donnie, and her sisters Bonnie, Rose, Janice, and Barbara.

Mom is preceded in death by her first-born daughter, Karlene, her parents, and her brothers Percy, Donnie, and Chuck.

She is survived by her daughters Tammy (John) Peppersack and Debbie Pulanco; her grandchildren Damon (Janell) Van Diest, Niccole (Ryan) Gibson, Karlene Stauffacher, Constance Stauffacher, and Kharesse Orr; and her great-grandchildren Rye Lee (Chase) Moxley, James Logan Gibson, KayLea Gibson, Tyler and Trenton Shepherd, and Annie Ao.

Mom was a devoted Christian who saw her walk with God as her life’s purpose. She was always seeking ways to help others and had a heart full of love and compassion. A true character that was known for her warm smile, infectious laugh, and captivating storytelling.

Mom had a passion for creating—whether through cooking, sewing, or crafting—her hands and heart brought joy to many. She generously shared her gifts, and her legacy lives on through those she inspired.

In her final years, Mom resided at Big Horn Rehab and Care Center in Sheridan, Wyoming, where she was cherished by the staff and cared for with love and dignity. She bravely faced the challenges of advanced dementia and cancer in her final days.

Now in heaven, Mom has been joyfully reunited with loved ones who went before her. Though we will deeply miss her, we find comfort in knowing we will see her again someday.
